The only way a home professional vendor makes it to this website is from a referral from a Westfield neighbor. All referred vendors must have at least 2 verified referrals via community forums, or personal form-fills (from our website). We ask that all referrers live in Westfield to keep our list local and support local businesses that serve our area. Additionally, we search online community forums for vendors that continue to pop up multiple times and consider them “community-vetted” vendors.

We rely on the community and referrals that come in through our form.

Our goal is quality, not quantity of home professional contractors and companies (we don’t want residents having to sift through 100’s of vendors for one category - that’s what Google is for!) - therefore, we update it on a bi-monthly basis if the category is full (based on new recommendations and form submissions). We feature up to 5 companies per category though - so if a category isn’t full, we will each month update that category with up to 5 total home professional contractors.

We combine the best of both worlds: local home contractors with locally-vetted recommendations. There is no bias or preference and you can’t pay-to-play.

The goal is also to avoid having hundreds or thousands of options, but truly feature those top curated top home professional contractors mentioned in local Westfield community online groups and/or personally recommended by a local Westfield resident.

To be a featured Westfield Neighbor, you need to be a resident of Westfield and have a compelling story to tell - that’s it!

Selfishly, I wanted to find the best vendors for my own home projects. More generously, I wanted to curate a list for other busy parents to find vetted vendors so they didn’t have to spend hours searching like I did!
